Q1 results posted - SOS: Club spending is out of control

Jeff and Management have provided the less-than-stellar Q1 reports only 6 hours prior to the Open Session hastily scheduled to discuss them. This is on the SAME DAY that voting begins for an increse of Dues and POAA fees. Historically, this open session is be the ONLY opportunity for the member to ask querstions about these results as a united club.

Simply put, these financial results have been buried at the 11th hour to prevent membership from having adequate time to review it. Jeff has spent months preparing it, and the membership is expected to review this dense document over a lunch break- minutes before the meeting. It's really unacceptable.

The management team we hired to manage Haig Point have landed us in the red for the past 5 years and now asks the membership to bail them out of their mistakes (using an LOC for poor operational spending, damaging our credit, etc) instead of seeking ways to tighten, trim and optimize spending. A large number of our members have strong financial and operational backgrounds. Many of you know how to help us. Where are you? We need some adult supervision now more than ever.

This pattern of our Adminstrators getting the club into financial quicksand and then asking the membership for a lifeline is unsubstainable.

Amen!!!! Who in their right mind would prepare a budget with a deficit!!!??? Yesterday three (3) people had questions regarding expenses and the board swept them under the rug and started talking budget numbers again!!!! I will be a NO vote. The powers that be need to CONTROL spending!!!
