Really surfaced a lot more with member vote last year on election and very divisive assessment vote and where the board groupthink was going. One last question, what kind of beer do you like. Agree. Just to clarify, the bylaws state not more than 2 candidates ,which means 2 candidates per open seat, or 4 candidates per 2 open seats can be approved by the committee In the fixed slate.please correct me if I am wrong.

I read the bylaws, my point was nominating committee selections, that choose only 1 candidate per seat instead of 2, gives an instant home field advantage and biased to that candidate, and who is to say that the committee may have a groupthink mentality that they may not be Aware of. After a resounding failure of the large assessment vote along with a detailed survey showing a loss of confidence in the previous board and management decisions . Maybe listen to the majority of members a little more , so we can all reach a consensus.

Let's see some open debate, let's see were their priorities lie, let's see who can be an effective board member by assimilating as much facts and knowledge about haig point , to help direct it to a fiscally sound future. Why not give members a non biased choice to vote on. Look at the survey report , over 50 % disagree with you.

Has HP ever looked into lifetime golf membership.Hypothetically ,say 20 members with the resources to pay up front $200,000 for family lifetime HP membership with nice perks for their families and guests and the ability to either transfer(death ect) or sell their membership (with a finite time limit on a prorated basis). There is 4 ,ooo,ooo. Up front to renovate the signature course alone.Just a thought

A few questions.In capital plans,how much $ will be dedicated to emergency funds.Hurricane Mathew may have been a dress rehearsal for what may come.Do we have funds or are we involved with federal or state officials to better protect the coastline against tidal surges.Is there a preforma regarding a new barge service? If members are going to pay a substantial amount over the next 3 years should we consider allocating more$ into an emergency storm fund.Also it seems like the quality of food and service at the Calibogie has declined a bit, could members see a profit/loss report. The Calibogie should be the gem of HP as it also creates an impression on visitors and future residents .
