Clay, I'm glad you reiterated about the costs related to critical infrastructure. We do not know what the true costs will be for completion of road repairs. This does not include recently proposed repairs to the beach road. Because this has been neglected members will have to pay. We do not know what the total cost will be for completion of dock repairs. If we can't afford the bills, guess what? Members will have to pay. Broken elevators, leaking roofs, transference of club debt to members, etc. While all these things were going on Tom Donohoe approved allocating funds to grow test grass, Rees Jones travel, lodging and entertainment, glossy marketing presentations claiming the golf course was already renovated, and related spending. Priorities are upside down and the needs of the community as a whole are not being properly considered. The demographics of the club are evolving. Thanks for scoping the big picture Clay. .

Kaye I am fully aware (as are many others) that you ran a company twice the size of HP- and you ran it successfully. You are 100% competent to assess financials and are entitled to receive truthful information... If for no other reason than being an owner who is now saddled with extreme debt caused by years of financial mismanagement.

Have you contacted All My Sons yet? I believe I've seen their trucks on the island. There's also a smaller barge service that can accommodate one of trucks etc

Just revisiting this, I've noticed that some pet owners would love to take their pets onto the top deck because there is limited space in the rear deck with cargo and support staff sometimes occupying. Hoping that we have better access to the top deck in the future to allow pet owners to travel with their pets more easily. I know they're working on solutions to getting better staffing to keep the top decks open.

Jeff is a very personable guy, but I've been wondering about his effectiveness for some time. He's been promising "break even" or "cash neutral" for what seems like 2 years (remember the dues increase?) and he's simply not able to deliver that. His presentations are often opaque at times, and it's troublesome to him say a $35k overage is a "rounding error" when we can't afford to pay for a $45k ADA elevator without asking the membership to cover it. He's been talking about stringent cost controls for over 2 years, and yet the $500m+ ferry situation happened under his watch. I know there are others involved but as CFO the buck stops with him. He lasted about 2 years at his previous positions since '18, and I'm wondering if this situation is a bit out of his ability to manage. It would be great if he stayed on perhaps with a bit more supervision.

It is not the responsibility of the members to come up with alternatives to cancer causing chemicals being sprayed near their homes. It is the responsibility of the people we pay to manage and run the course who ensure member and employee safety.

We live on a small, somewhat closed ecosystem and the golf courses here at Haig point occupy a large percentage of that land mass. I think we should formally object to round up being used, especially to kill the existing grass on the courses if the renovations eventually go thru. Good point for listening sessions coming up. I am currently travelling and saw this on TV. The links between Round Up and cancer continue to be established. The Board should not allow this chemical to be used on the property as many members, pets, children and employees would be exposed.

I spoke via email with Kevin Byrnes who was unaware the club has not posted the results of the member satisfaction survey. He pinged Adam Martin who said it will be released later this week prior to the listening session. As a reminder this survey was due on March 27th. Hopefully there will not be further delays.

I reached out directly to Kevin. Very prompt response. The Board will review our report on the survey results in their meeting on March 27 then release to the Membership shortly after. The most time consuming part of the process relates to the 10 questions allowing for members to write responses in their own words. We have thousands of responses to read, organize and categorize, then write an overview summarizing the responses for each of the 10 questions. It looks like these written responses will go thru two levels of filtration (committee and then board) but this is where we are in the process.

Per Doug's email last month The Membership and Marketing Committee will be reviewing the results of the Annual Member Survey and will publish their findings upon completion.
