Blue Bird house program seeks volunteers

Calling all Members!!
If you enjoy the natural environment, that is Haig Point, you may be interested in a scientific program in which we have been participating...
Haig Point has an established trail of 16 Blue Bird Nest Boxes. This trail was developed over 30 years ago. Now in conjunction with the national Nest Watch program we have been been submitting data to Cornell University for research on these very colorful birds. In order to continue this program we need volunteers who can give 1 -2 hours per week mid March thru mid August to check the bird nest boxes and prepare data sheets which will be used by Cornell in their research. The trail is divided into four zones so that each volunteer has a limited number of nest boxes. A short training period is required. Please note the boxes are approximately 5 ft. high and light paperwork will need to be filled out.
