Pets on the Ferry

So apparently the "no pets in the cabin" rule doesn't apply anymore. Earlier this week, an individual sat in the main cabin with her dog--crew walked by several times without saying anything--and we were told by management that the rules are rather flexible during inclement weather. This evening, on HP II, beautiful sunny skies--and look what's in the main cabin. Again, crew member has walked by several times and said nothing. Next time I have to bring my very small cat over on a cold, winter day I sincerely hope this "rule exemption" works for me!

Just revisiting this, I've noticed that some pet owners would love to take their pets onto the top deck because there is limited space in the rear deck with cargo and support staff sometimes occupying. Hoping that we have better access to the top deck in the future to allow pet owners to travel with their pets more easily. I know they're working on solutions to getting better staffing to keep the top decks open.
