Deer Kill Feb 23-25 using silenced weapons
Deer will be killed within Haig Point between the hours of 11pm and 3am on Feb 23, 24, 25. Although the club has not provided details typically this involves designated marksmen using silenced weapons per DNR regulations.
Surveys of the current deer population must be conducted and the number of deer to be killed must be identified and submitted to DNR prior to deer kills within residential or gated communities.
The location of the kill zone within the community has not been communicated by management and is currently unknown. This information has been requested as a matter of safety but please practice caution until the location of the kill zone is known.
Sustainability of the deer population falls under the purview of the Sustainability Committee, which was created in 2021 after Gary Baum dissolved the Environmental Committee. However, the Sustainability Committee has not met since October of last year per the posted minutes.
