Roads & Docks Questions for Board
These are the questions I submitted to comment@haigpoint.com regarding today's Open Session. These were also submitted to Gary.
ROADS
1) For this specific road work outlined in the proposed assessment, what additional bids were solicited? Was this proposed project properly triple bid and which companies were approached?
2) Urgency: Why now? What health and safety issues make this an urgent matter? Why not next year after the club is, at the very least, break even.
3) Heavy vehicles damage roads. Is it prudent to resurface our roads now before heavy excavation equipment is brought in for the proposed golf course embellishments?
4) What are the potential savings to our barge costs by collaborating with the Melrose development to reduce our barge costs?
5) Are there plans to change the beach road or any bridges?
6)EMS access to the Beach Club available via one bridge which has previously been acceptable. Are there any plans to change/upgrade an existing bridge to allow a second access route for emergency services?
DOCKS
1) Are there any plans to expand the community docks for member boats?
2) What is the forecasted revenue for the Haig Point Boat Club memberships and services?
