Contract with Haig Point

Seems that the time has arrived to have an "agreement" with HP.


Firstly, I appreciate those that contribute their time for the various committees even though they are far to large.


Secondly, this enormous assessment @ 65K seems to benefit various groups.

a) most of HP is old folks just wanting to enjoy their remaining years; so encumbering members with an assessment at this point will benefit the new comers unless changes are made to the payment mechanism. If one decide to move off island, the new home owner enjoys the fruits of the previous owner.

b) the golf course may need some improvement but how many folks actually play the course 4-5 times per week? and why try to make a retirement community into Pebble. Show the numbers that actually use the course and their frequency.

c) why not shuttle the beach club restaurant area for a couple of years. How many people use it and more to the point why is there not a P&L for this facility?

d) if folks want pickleball, then form a group, fund it and they play. Don't encumber all member to capitalize their needs.

e) time to bring in some new management. Young folks with degrees in hospitality management and young folks that have earned their CPA designation. Provide housing as part of the package but never allow employees to become members unless they resign.

f) Does the mixed grill at the club need additional dining spaces. I have never seen it that busy. Shows some numbers for use.

g) the roads need improvement. digs up the areas that require attention, remove the roots and patch.
