Lack of timely financials prompts membership complaints
Sent Nov 4
To the President,BOD, and Management:
The last minute receipt by Members of important Association financial information before Member meetings has become a repetitive habit of MGT and the BOD.
Whether last minute release of Association financial reports are intentional or random, this habitual practice leaves Members little time to review, digest, and analyze quarterly, annual, or other reports.
It is understandable that a great amount of data assimilation is required for important Management presentations, but it is poor Management to invite the public to an important quarterly financial Meeting
1. Before the CFO has had adequate time to prepare and complete his presentation, and
2. Before the presentation has been reviewed by Club Management and the BOD, and
3. Before data is released reasonably in advance of any meeting.
Furthermore, the President's call for Member submission of financial questions, with a deadline PRIOR to the release of any updated information by the CFO further demonstrates a lack of communication within Management.
Many Members are not pleased by the habitual last minute release of information, and if this continues prior to any future critical needed Member discussions, this will be unacceptable.
This Management issue is just one more example which continues to underscore the difficulties and limitations of self Management by well meaning and very hard working volunteers in a small Community Association.

I lso question whether the finance Committee ever was presented with the 3Q financial summary, since the Finance Committee met some time ago. If "no",why not,and it "yes", why has the Membership. only been given the Q3 report at the last minute????. .....(as usual)
